Abstract

This paper presents LAND-SUITE, an open-source R-based software designed to facilitate statistically-grounded landslide susceptibility mapping. The toolkit integrates LAND-SE and adds three interconnected modules: LAND-SIP for input preparation, LAND-SVA for exploratory variable analysis, and LAND-SE for susceptibility evaluation. The software enables practitioners to partition training and validation datasets, perform preliminary data analysis, test variable combinations, and evaluate model performance using various statistical methods. Key functionalities include balanced/unbalanced sampling, spatial/temporal partitioning, multicollinearity diagnostics, and uncertainty quantification. Application to the Gipuzkoa Province (Spain) demonstrates the system's capability to support reproducible susceptibility assessments across diverse spatial scales and configurations.
