Biography
He received his PhD in Geoinformatics from the University of Salzburg in 2021. He worked as a Postdoctoral Machine Learning Researcher at the Institute of Advanced Research in Artificial Intelligence (IARAI), Vienna from 2021 to 2023 and subsequently served as an ESA Project Leader at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, from 2023 to 2025. He is currently a Senior Scientist and Project Co-Leader at the University of Salzburg. He has received five Best Paper Awards and serves as an editor for international journals, including Advances in Space Research. His research focuses on developing innovative GeoAI methods to analyze human–environment interactions, environmental change, and associated societal risks.
