Biography

Dr. Xuejian Chen is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University, Abu Dhabi. He completed his PhD at Wuhan University in 2023. From March 2021 to May 2022, He was a visiting PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National University of Singapore.

His research interests focus on: (1) geotechnical large-deformation numerical simulation; (2) random field theory and uncertainty quantification; (3) geotechnical centrifuge modeling; and (4) machine learning applications in the fields of landslide, offshore and tunnelling engineering. He has been invited to delivery more than ten presentations in international conferences and universities.
